We call our house "Flechazo," which translates to "love at first sight." It is everything a vacation lake house should be: of course it's on the water, with a spectacular panoramic view of beautiful Lake Buchanan, the largest and most scenic of the Central Texas Highland Lakes. And of course it's a fully stocked vacation house, with all the amenities of home. And of course it's spacious. It's not a cabin or a "cottage" or a condo: this is a roomy 1,800 sf home, with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, laundry room, full kitchen, and large dining and living areas. We even have a 2 car carport. But hold on! I'm just getting started!

Sitting on an entire acre of lakefront, Flechazo is actually on two lots, boasting a whopping 120 ft of waterfront. Believe me, that's a rare find on Lake Buchanan. We looked everywhere on all the Highland Lakes and this is the biggest we found. The lot is filled with mature trees offering plenty of shade to the sun weary. Part of the waterfront is sandy beach, another rarity on breezy Lake Buchanan. Best yet, enjoy the refreshing swimming pool with diving board just off the back porch. There is nothing finer than floating lazily in the pool while taking in the breathtaking view of the Texas Hill country just beyond the sparkling lake. We've got 2 twin beds and 2 full beds in 2 guest bedrooms, a queen in the master, and even an additional inflatable queen bed that can be put in any room. So there's plenty of room for eight.

Private and secluded, yet only a short drive to the small town comforts and restaurants of Burnet, Texas, Flechazo is the perfect get-away for a weekend or for the season.

Activities

Lake Buchanan is the largest lake in the Texas Hill Country, and probably the one lake that has the most to offer vacationers: from the lakehouse you have easy access to water skiing, wake boarding, fishing, boating, sailing (big lake means big wind!) swimming (in the lake or in the lakehouse pool!), kayaking, canoeing, hiking, Vanishing Texas River Cruise (see the bald eagles!), vineyards, the Hill Country cities of Burnet, Marble Falls, Inks Lake, Lake LBJ, and Lake Marble Falls. (Pause for deep breath!) Also, dining, hill country views, biking, striper fishing (best in Texas! Guided tours available, too!), wildlife viewing, star gazing (by the lakehouse pool or at the nearby Observatory!), golf, shopping, jet ski rentals, Silver Creek Marina, kayak tours, Longhorn Caverns State Park, Colorado Bend State Park, and Inks Lake State Park! Phew! I'm out of breath! This vacation rental has it all!

$250 refundable deposit, $95 cleaning fee. Prepayment required. CLOSED FOR WINTER 3-night minimum stay during Summer. Rates exclusive of applicable taxes.

Exceptions: Please respect that Flechazo is our vacation home too, and return it to the condition you found it. No pets. And please -- no smoking inside the house.
