Located just 30 minutes from downtown Durango, easy driving distance to Mesa Verde National Park, and historical mining town of Silverton, Colorado. Durango Mountain Resort is in southwest Colorado and is 26 miles north of Durango, served by that town's airport 350 miles from Denver, with flights from several other major cities. It is near many of Colorado's most popular attractions such as the Durango-Silverton train ride, ancient Indian ruins at Mesa Verde National Park, Telluride, the historic mining towns of Silverton and Ouray, gambling at nearby Sky Ute Casino and some of the state's most scenic drives. The ski area has 75 trails and nearly 750 acres (26% advanced, 51% intermediate, 23% beginner). The highest lift goes to 10,820 feet and the longest run is two miles.
